  1. The Synthetic & Rayon Textiles Export Promotion Council (SRTEPC), Mumbai, is organizing the 5th edition of Source India 2020 on a virtual platform. Source India 2020 Virtual 5.0 is scheduled to be held from 7–9 September 2020 with the support of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India. Around 100 member-exporters of the Council will be exhibiting their latest range of synthetic and rayon textile items, including Fibre, Yarn, Fabrics, Home Textiles, Made-ups, Technical Textiles, and COVID-Protective Fabrics.

The Meet will be hosted on a virtual platform, and the Council plans to invite over 250 leading buyers of MMF (Man-Made Fibre) Textiles from around 50 countries, including Uzbekistan, to Source India 2020. Buyers will have a unique opportunity to view the latest range of textile items and interact with senior representatives of leading Indian companies to conclude profitable business deals through chat/video conferences during the three-day event.

The Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, will inaugurate the event on 5th October, 2020. The theme of the online summit is Responsible AI for Social Empowerment.

2. India is scripting a new narrative of social transformation, inclusive growth, and empowerment using the power of technology, where AI and emerging technologies are key thrust areas.
