IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR VISA APPLICANTS

With effect from June 17, 2013, Embassy of India, Tashkent has stopped accepting the old visa forms;
Under the new system applicant is required to fill online application according to the instructions given on the link: http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa and upload the digital photo.
Take a printout of the filled-in form generated in pdf format, carry two copies of same photographs as uploaded on the online application form;
It is MANDATORY to upload digital photograph on the visa application filled online as per parameters given at http://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa (photo requirements). Application without uploaded photograph will be rejected;
A printout of duly filled online form with photograph is to be signed by the applicant and presented in person at the Embassy along with requisite fees and all other required documents for issuance of visa;
Invariably, presence of the applicant at the Embassy is required for providing Biometric Data;
Separate visa form is required to be filled for each child travelling with the parent even when child’s name is included in the passport of the parent;
The new visa stickers are issued without signature and stamp from the Embassy.

WORKING HOURS
Visa applications are to be submitted in person at the Consular Section of the Embassy of India, Tashkent

Acceptance of Visa applications:
1000 – 1230 hrs. on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

Collection of Visas:
1630 – 1700 hrs. on the date specified.
Embassy is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and designated holidays.
Business Visa

General Information

Business Visa is is granted subject to following conditions:

The applicant is a person of assured financial standing and expertise in the field of the intended business.
The applicant is not visiting India for the business of money-lending or petty-trading, or for a full time employment in India involving payment of salary in India etc.
The facility of Business Visa is also extended to senior executives of firms, experts, tour conductors and travel agents, etc., visiting India in connection with work related to projects of national importance, including those undertaken by public sector undertakings, and conducting business tours of foreigners or business relating to it, etc.
The Business Visa must be issued from the country of origin, or from the country of domicile of the foreigner provided the period of permanent residence of that applicant in that particular country is for more than 2 years.

The invitation letter from India should be in original with seal and signature. Invitation letter from India should specify the details like Name, Nationality, Passport Number, type of Visa with the purpose of visit, duration of visa and number of entries. The details of NOC from local company (Uzbekistan) and invitation letter from India should have the same purpose, duration of Visa. Entry Visa (X – Visa)

Other Information

A person of Indian origin and holding renounced Indian passport copy and surrender certificate copy can apply for entry visa for self.
Person of Indian origin, his/her spouse and dependent children may be granted entry visa subject to their producing proof of the PIO status, marriage certificate (in respect of spouse) or birth certificate (in respect of the children).
Foreign national married to an Indian (holding Indian passport) or spouse of an OCI/PIO cardholder and dependent children may be granted Entry visa subject to production of necessary proof.
Seamen who will be inspecting/visiting a vessel in India.
Foreign nationals going to India for training (Educational or Athletic) purpose.
For Sports/tournament from Uzbekistan school/college can be accepted for Entry Visa. Invitation from school/college from India, NOC from Uzbekistan school/college and NOC from parents if applicant is minor.
For Sports/tournament from Non School &Non-College Invitation from the organization conducting the tournament/ event, MHA Clearance, MEA Clearance, Approval of Ministry of Sports are required.

Eyebrows, Ears, forehead chin to be completely visible. Clarity of the photo is very important – Edited, blurred or unclear photos should not be accepted. Original passport with photocopy of current and old passports with valid Uzbekistan residence visa page. Letter from a recognized/reputed Indian hospital/treatment center giving the date of consultation and admission in the hospital and name of the patient with passport number indicating illness. (This letter must also be sent to missions email (cons.tashkentmea.gov.in) by the concerned hospitals through their hospital’s mail) Valid medical documents from a recognized Uzbekistan hospital stating the illness. Act: No human organ or tissue or both removed from the body of a donor before his death shall be transplanted into a recipient unless the donor is a near relative of the recipient. Where the donor or the recipient being near relative is a foreign national, prior approval of the Authorization Committee shall be required before removing or transplanting human organ or tissue or both. Provided that the Authorization Committee shall not approve such removal or transplantation if the recipient is a foreign national and the donor is an Indian national unless they are near relatives. When the proposed donor or the recipient are foreigners, a senior embassy official of the country of origin has to certify the relationship between the donor and the recipient as per form 21 (https ://notto.mohfw.gov.in/download-forms.htm ). This act has provisions of punishment for commercial dealings in organs and no payment in money or money’s worth can be made or promised or offered for donation of organ(s). Authorization committee is required to evaluate the same during examination. Medical Attendant Visa Properly filled up online application form (ONE SET) with signature of the applicant – (www.indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa ) 2 recent Passport size photos (51mm x 51mm) not older than Three months, no uniform, with white background with DARK DRESS and frontal view. Eyebrows, Ears, forehead chin to be completely visible. Clarity of the photo is very important – Edited, blurred or unclear photos should not be accepted. Original passport with photocopy of current and old passports with valid Uzbekistan residence visa page. Document establishing relationship with the patient. Copy of Medical credentials (In case medical professionals accompanying the patient). Medical letter from recognized hospital with attendant’s name included is required. Note: Medical attendant visa would be granted to only those people who are accompanying the patient. (Maximum of two medical attendants) For Medical visa and Medical attendant visa letter of recommendation from local doctor is mandatory. Uzbekistan hospital letter should state Indian doctors name, Indian hospital address and appointment date, passport number, nationality, name of the patient and attendant. Indian hospital letter should be original or colored on hospital letter head with stamp and signature, should specify type of treatment and duration of treatment, passport number, nationality, name of the patient and attendant.

Tourist Visa

General Information

A tourist visa is meant strictly for recreation, sightseeing, casual visit to meet friends or relatives, attending a short term yoga programme, short duration medical treatment including treatment under Indian systems of medicine, short term courses on local languages, music, dance, arts & crafts, cooking, medicine etc. which should not be a formal or structured course/programme (courses not exceeding 6 months duration and not issued with a qualifying certificate/ diploma etc.), and voluntary work of short duration (for a maximum period of one month, which do not involve any monetary payment or consideration of any kind in return) etc. and no other purpose/ activity. Please note that tourist visa is neither extendable nor can be used for other purposes including any type of work/employment/contract/ business in India. No other activity is permissible on a Tourist Visa. The Tourist visa is non-extendable and non-convertible.
The government of India in its latest guidelines has decided to lift restriction of two-month gap on re-entry of foreign nationals coming to India on Tourist visa except in case of nationals of Afghanistan, China, Iraq, Sudan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, foreigners of Pakistan (Pak origin) .

Journalist – Copy of ID card/ Press Accreditation card and letter from Uzbekistan Company stating that they will be going for Tourism purpose only.

Non-Uzbekistan residents, who are casual visitors and not normally residing in Uzbekistan, should apply for an Indian visa in the country of their residence or country of origin.

Student Visa

General Information

Student Visas are issued to bona fide students to pursue studies in recognized educational institutions in India.

In case of minors, NOC from both of parents and their passport copies. Note Verbal from the concerned Embassy (in case of other than Uzbek national). Salary certificate of the student’s sponsor in Uzbekistan 6 Months Bank statement of the Student’s Sponsor All educational documents related to the applied course

Conference Visa

Original passport with photocopy of current and old passports with valid UAE residence visa page Invitation letter from the organizer of the conference. Ministry of Home Affairs & Ministry of External Affairs Clearance copy from India. NOC from the local sponsor (If traveling in personal capacity, NOC not required). Reference Form for faxing: Participants from AFGANISTAN, CHINA, PAKISTAN, IRAQ, PAK – Origin foreigners.

Employment Visa

General Information

Employment visas are issued to skilled and qualified professionals or persons, who are engaged or appointed by companies, organizations and economic undertakings as technicians, technical experts, senior executives etc.

Photocopy of the passport with copy of Uzbekistan residence visa (showing that they have been resident in Uzbekistan for more than two years) The employing company/ organization should be registered in India and a copy of such registration should be submitted. The Employing company/organization should certify that not more that 1% of their work force is foreigner. Professional or educational certificate. The applicant must submit the proof of employment or contract or engagement by the company or organization in India. Employment/Contract letter should be notarized and attested by home department of the concerned state government. Reference Form for Faxing (Applicants from Afghanistan, China, Nigeria, Somalia, Pakistan and PAK – Origin foreigners).

TRANSIT VISA (Copies of all papers are required)
Transit visas are also required to be obtained like other visas before departure for the purpose of direct transit to another country through India. Completed visa application form, confirmed air bookings, are required to be produced at the time of applying for transit visa. Duration of transit should not be more than three days.

VISA FOR MEMBERS OF SPORTS TEAMS (Apply for Business Visa)
Sports Visa applicants are required to submit the following documents in addition to the documents mentioned in General requirements mentioned above:
a)    Invitation from the authorised Sports Federation/Body in India.
b)    Visa will be considered only after receipt of approval of the event by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of Government of India.
c)    Letter from local Sports Ministry.
d)    Air Ticket booking.

EMERGENCY FEE:
Subject to the approval of competent authority, an additional emergency fee of US $35/- will be charged if:
(i) Visa has to be issued beyond office hours/on holidays;
(ii) date of appointment is preponed;
(iii) visa is issued the same day; and
(iv) date of appointment is preponed and visa is issued on the same day.
Note:

Visa processing will commence after payment of fee. There will be no refund of visa fees in the event of non-issue of visa. Applicants are therefore requested to ensure that they provide all documents and details and carry all original documents for scrutiny at the Embassy.
Applicants other than Uzbek Nationals may consult the Consular/Visa section to ascertain the Visa fee.
An additional fee of US $ 3 will be levied on each Visa document as per Government instructions, as indicated alongside visa fee above.
Applicants are advised to strictly adhere to the purpose for which visa is sought during their stay in India and avoid overstay.
