The union of mind, body and soul happens. We feel oneness of humanity, that we are part of the same consciousness, that world is one family, as it was said 3000 years ago in the sacred land of India – “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”. As the world faces turmoil, geopolitical tensions and chaos, the longing for inner peace intensifies. Let me take this opportunity to thank the Ministry of Sports, the Yoga Federation of Uzbekistan for hosting this event. Let me thank the Indian Culture Centre for their strong support. I would also like to congratulate the Yoga Federation of Uzbekistan for their spectacular performance at the 1st Yogasana World Championship. This is testimony to the stupendous work being done by the Federation to promote well-being, health and inner tranquillity. They are valuable resources in Uzbekistan towards promoting well-being and peace.
