This is with reference to earlier post of September 10, 2026 on visa free travel to Uzbekistan for the Indian nationals.
With effect from September 1, 2026, a visa-free regime has been introduced for citizens of the Republic of India who possesses a valid multiple-entry business or tourist visa issued by one of the following countries:
- Australia
- United States of America
- United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland
- Canada
- Republic of Korea
- Schengen Member States
- New Zealand
- Japan
Citizens of India meeting the aforementioned criteria are granted the right to enter the Republic of Uzbekistan without a visa for a period of upto 30 days from the date of entry provided apart from above, there is presentation of an air ticket confirming onward travel to the country of origin or to a third country.
Please note that the exemption is applicable only on the latest valid passport. Visa on an expired or old passport is not being accepted by the Uzbek authorities.
